Unlike most document imaging systems, MSDS Digital Filing cabinet is flexibility. It allows you to acquire your MSDS from a variety of sources including scanner, fax modem, image or text files on disk, CD-ROM, direct keyboard entry or other software applications. Import filters make it easy to import documents directly from Internet-based MSDS servers. A built-in document acquisition wizard leads you through the file acquisition process from start to finish and can even connect to your web browser for importing information over the Internet.

The DFC Pro is very easy to use. The Product List provides instant access to all products in the database, or the user can filter the data down to a specific type of product: by name, department, physical or health properties, and many other characteristics. The DFC Pro stores a wide range of information about each product, in addition to the document images.
The index tab cards provide an intuitive interface for the novice or power user. Simply double-click on a Product and all of the detailed information is easily accessed from the same place. The DFC Pro provides specific tabs for information on Product Identity, Physical Properties, Health Properties, Departments (locations), Components (ingredients), and Documents (MSDS/other docs). There is even a user-defined classification scheme for grouping products.
Unlike most document imaging products, the DFC Pro is flexible. It allows you to "acquire" your MSDS's from a variety of places: any TWAIN scanner, a fax modem, disk image files, disk text files, direct keyboard entry, or launching other applications. And, you can store an unlimited number of additional documents with each product. In this way, the DFC Pro flexes to meet your needs, not the other way around...
The DFC Pro provides the easiest method for getting documents into your computer ever. The Document Acquisition Wizard leads you through the entire acquire process, start to finish, with context-sensitive help only a click away. The heart of the DFC Pro is the document viewer. For images, the document viewer allows you to scroll, flip pages, scale, rotate, enhance, print and export any document image.
MSDS DFC Pro will also connect externally to the CIS Chemical Inventory System® CISPro so that you can acquire, view and print MSDS's directly from CISPro. You can also use the CIS inventory list to populate the Components tab for any product.
DFC Pro provides multi-level password support for controlling access to the database.
MSDS DFC Pro also provides high-speed import capabilities for upgrading from your present electronic MSDS database: The import engine can even attach text and image files of previously acquired MSDS’s during the import: you just specify the filename in one of your import columns.
The MSDS DFC Pro also has a companion product, called the MSDS SimpleView, which provides simple, distributed, read-only access across a network.
