There are many available fields to store a tremendous amount of information, but there are also user definable fields for reference IDs and check boxes for classifications that you can define for your particular needs. The Identity tab stores the chemical and vendor identification information.
The Physical  tab is where all of the physical characteristics for chemicals are stored.
The Structure  tab in CISPro Desktop integrates with chemical structure drawing and modeling programs such as ISIS Draw, ChemSite Pro, and Molecular Modeling Pro. You can paste structures into the CISPro from any of these drawing programs or others that support the *.mol file format. CISPro Desktop supports structure and sub-structure searching.
The Hazards  tab stores NFPA, personal protective equipment, and general hazard warning information for each chemical. With the optional HMIS Reports and Classifications Database add-ons, you can sync fire code properties with your chemical inventory which will allow you to produce HMIS reports that are required by most state and local agencies.
The Quantity/Location  tab is where you keep track of all containers for a specific chemical. You can have an unlimited number of containers, sizes, and vendors defined for eah chemical.
CISPro Desktop uses a container-based tracking model so you can have multiple lots and containers of any chemical, supply, or formulation. You can automatically generate unique ID#'s or you can assign your own. These ID#'s can also be used in conjunction with the Remote Inventory Bar-coding Module (RIBM) that enables communication with the portable LaserLite Pro Scanner and print bar-code labels.
CISPro Desktop can even adapt to your needs with the ability to add user-defined custom fields. If you need a new field for some specific information, you can define a new property in the Properties  tab. Property types can be: text, number, date, or list of items.
You can generate a scaled batch record for any formulation in the database. A formulation is any chemical with the "This material is blended" box checked on the Ingredients  tab. Once the ingredients have been specified, CISPro Desktop can produce scaled batch records (these can also be used for material requirement reports).
Track all purchasing and receiving information for any given department or the entire facility. You can build requisition lists, as well as, purchase orders right from within the CISPro Desktop.
Simplify ordering and requisitioning for items in inventory by placing orders, viewing orders pending, orders received, or partial shipments with order items still pending.
CISPro Desktop has an improved searching and sorting interface. Everything you need is right there in front of you at all times.
CISPro Desktop provides an optional Transaction Logging mechanism which allows facilities to monitor or removal of an item. Item, date, location, user, and reason can be easily logged. The system can produce reports and warnings when an item is below a user-specified level. Using transactions, CISPro Desktop can provide cost-accounting features such as removal and addition costs per account, and value of inventory reports.
The user can maintain multiple databases, and import data from various data systems (including automatic import of CIS Std data). An extensive array of reports is included for listing chemicals and supplies, including reorder reports, hazard information reports and location reports.
A fully integrated ad-hoc custom report designer allows you to modify any report, or even create totally new reports, right from within CISPro Desktop.
With the optional internal MSDS & Document Storage Module you can save time and eliminate paper trail steps by linking all important documents directly to a particular container within CISPro. It also allows you access to specific MSDS databases (contact us for more information).
The MSDS Digital Filing Cabinet® Pro allows you to acquire your MSDS from a variety of sources including scanner, fax modem, image or text files on disk, CD-ROM, direct keyboard entry or other software application. It integrates with CISPro, allowing instant access to your MSDSs and documents.
